BACKGROUND & PRESENT CONDITION |
The CPN(UML) ward committee - 10 of damak honoured 17 senior citizens in the ward itself in 2057 Magh. This body took 31 senior citizens for national tours covering the visit and prayers to Ram-Janaki Temple of Janakpur, Visit to Marty's Park of Hetauda, Visit to Deoghat Chitawan, Kankali Mai's Darshan in Saptari, Manokamana Temple's visit and prayers in Gorkha including a trip in cable car from 10 to 12 Margashir, 2058. Senior citizens over 80 years of age were honoured on the 22nd of Asar. |

It was on the 22nd of Asar 2059 that the meeting of general people of ward no 10 of Damak adopted a bold resolution of great importance that such type of honour-awarding programme should not be restricted to one political party only. So, an ad-hos committee was empowered to register the present organization with "Senior Citizen Honour Foundation Nepal" as the body's name. At present the office of the academy is at ward no. 10 of Damak. Started with "Let’s Honour Senior Citizens, Enhance National Glory" as it's motto, this academy expectes all possible co-operations from various corners. Till now this academy has 206 life members. |
